The annual Windcrest Light Up is a decades-old tradition in which residents decorate their homes with elaborate displays of holiday lights. A contest is held to pick the most beautifully decorated homes in various judging categories and the public is invited to drive along neighborhood streets to view the brightly-lit displays. This event is made possible through volunteers from Windcrest Women’s Club and the City of Windcrest.
Thousands of visitors from San Antonio and the surrounding area come to see the free lighting event every year. Light Up begins December 4th and runs through New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021.
