Day 292: Day of the Dead River Parade

El Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a time period where deceased loved ones are welcomed back to the land of the living for just a short time. Beautiful altars are constructed to honor and remember those family members, with items such as pan de muerto, marigolds, and papel picado. Head out and enjoy the Grand Altar & Calavera Collection at La Villita from 1-10pm on October 29th and 30th.

The Day of the Dead River Parade will be happening on October 29th at 7:30pm on the San Antonio River Walk! Can’t catch it in person? Stay tuned to KSAT News at 8pm on the 29th for coverage.
